Terms of use
MindMate is a young app. These terms describe what the app does – and what it explicitly is not.
Last updated: 2026-09-05
1. Provider and scope
The provider is Colopoint GmbH, Lindleystraße 12, 60314 Frankfurt am Main, Germany. By using the app or this website you accept these terms. The app is intended for people aged 18 and over.
2. What MindMate is – and is not
- Noa is an artificial intelligence. She is not a person, not a psychotherapist, not a physician. Her answers are conversational, not diagnoses, not therapy and not medical advice.
- Not an emergency service. MindMate cannot help in an acute crisis and alerts nobody. If you or someone else is in danger: emergency services 112, TelefonSeelsorge 0800 111 0 111 (Germany).
- Therapist directory: the app passes appointment requests to independent licensed psychotherapists. Any treatment contract exists solely between you and the practice. Sample profiles are labelled as such in the app; a request to a sample profile reaches no real practice.
- An appointment request is a request, not a confirmed booking. Confirmation comes from the practice or the MindMate team by email.
3. Costs
MindMate is free. There are no payments in the app. Therapy sessions – if they come about – are billed directly by the practice; prices shown in the app are the practice's own.
4. Your obligations
- Use the app for yourself only and do not share third parties' content without their permission.
- Do not attempt to circumvent safety mechanisms (crisis protocol, rate limits) or to drive the interfaces automatically.
- Appointment requests with invented contact details are not permitted.
5. Availability and changes
The app may be changed, interrupted or discontinued at any time. There is no entitlement to availability, to specific features or to continuation. Before a shutdown we notify you in the app so you can export your data.
6. Liability
We are liable without limit for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. For ordinary negligence we are liable only for breach of essential contractual duties, limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract. Content Noa produces is generated by a language model, may be wrong and replaces no professional judgement.
7. Final provisions
German law applies. Consumers keep the protection of mandatory provisions of their country of residence. Should a provision be invalid, the others remain in force.
